You are not alone.
There are people who get your grief.
It may feel otherwise.
Trust me, I’ve been there.
It takes one person to change this.
Just one.
One understanding individual to reach out and say, “I hear you.”
For me, that person was Kim.
Kim became a rock when grief swirled and eddied around me.
She listened without trying to fix anything.
Kim reached out when I felt lost.
She made jokes when it was hardest to feel light.
Kim stuck around.
She is still listening.
What a gift.
My hope is that you find your Kim.
And in finding that person, you realize there are many others who get it too.
They are not alone either.
